2014 Meet Info - Mt Carmel Field and Distance CarnivalPublished by
Dear Coach, Mt. Carmel High School and All Pro Stickers will be hosting its third Field & Distance Carnival on Saturday, March 2, 2013. This meet is set up with a format that will allow coaches to give competition to established returners in your program as well as newcomers to your team that did not compete last year. All events will offer both boys and girls competition. Teams will receive the following minimum number of entries in these events: High Jump 4 entries, Long Jump 4 entries, Triple Jump 4 entries, Shot 4-5 entries, Discus 4-5 entries, PV 4 to 5 entries (depending on number of schools having vaulters. 800 – 8 entries + Frosh 1600, 1600 – 8 entries + Frosh 1600, 3200 4 entries. 4 x 800 –one team, DMR – one team Cost for the meet will be $70 for the boys team, $70 for the girls team, or $140 total. Coaches who communicate with the meet management in advance and bring a official to help in the field events will have $30 taken off their entry fee. Small school teams with limited entries will be charged $5 per athlete you bring. Schools will be allowed to enter and bring extra athletes and if there is room, they will be allowed to compete. All races will feature electronic timing. This year’s meet will begin with field events starting at 9:00 am and running events starting at Noon. The meet is over by 6 PM. Awards will be given to four places in all events. If you are interested in participating in our meet, please fill out the entry sheet and email it back to me as soon as possible. The meet will be limited to twenty full team entries. While we will be allowing select individuals to also enter, the full team entries get first priority for entry. If you aske to have a small group of athletes come and not a full team entry, you will be limited to 10 male and 10 female athletes for a total of twenty athletes(20). Those schools indicating an interest will receive meet information and entry procedure by February 15, 2013. Thank you and best of luck to you in your up coming season.
